Moments
Happy. Sad. Unforgettable. Amazing. Terrible. These words describe the moments we have. Some are happy or very sad; but they are moments one in the same. No matter what that moment is, it is still a moment. A time in our life that we will cherish and remember forever. Moments make memories. So, make a moment worth remembering. Remember the good moments, let the bad ones help make us a better person.
I write this blog with a very heavy heart. A woman I don't know personally, but are in a family of our own, her soldier-son died this past week while at Basic Training at Fort Benning. He was supposed to go home for Christmas. Last year, my daughter's four year old best friend went home with Jesus as did another friend's two year old daughter; days before Christmas. I know these families are holding onto the moments they had with their loved one. They are holding onto the memories that were created while they still were able to hold onto them, touch them, see them laugh and giggle. With all these thoughts going on in my head, I realize I don't want to cherish my moments when my family is gone. I want to cherish the moments I have with my family and friends while they are happening.
You are your Momma's daughter... having ways with words that come from your heart and touches another's. God Bless your words... and your prayers... that someone will heed them and make a moment into a memory to last them a lifetime... God Bless Jody in her time of sorrow... God hold Sam in your loving arms of protection... until we all meet at our final home in heaven...
